Janice Liou's Yoga Story
Director, Shooter, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) Starring: Janice Liou (@janiceliou) Had the pleasure of working with social media influencer, Janice Liou, to create this video about her yoga story in Taiwan. We only had her for 2 days, so we had to plan everything out carefully. We researched all the locations ahead of time, and planned out the schedule so we could capture everything we needed quickly. Janice was super happy with the finished video, and we continue to work with her on future projects.

Director, Shooter, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) This is a spec ad we created for Spindrift Sparking Water's strawberry flavor. We wanted to create a unique product video, mostly using all practical effects. We aimed to keep it upbeat and fun, as that would be most fitting of the brand.
Timewise Landing Page Video
Director, Producer, DP, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) We worked the appointment booking app, Timewise, to create the landing page video for their new website launch. When they reached out to us, they were looking for a high-end video, almost like an 'Apple' like commercial. Since it's not a physical product, we came up with a style to showcase the app features with slick animations. We managed the entire production from start to finish, from coming up with the script, casting and hiring actors, and collaborating with different business owners. The client was ultimately really happy with our work, and left us a stellar review - "They understood rapidly the focus and the purpose of the product making it super simple to bring our vision to reality." timewise.com
Harvest Pro - Explainer Video
Director, DP, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) Studio: Sound-Imagination We partnered up with Soukup Advertising (http://soukupmarketing.com/) to produce a Kickstarter/fundraising video for their client GrowOp, and their premium home-growing cannabis product, the Harvest Pro. We were tasked with making the video seem as luxury, and as high-end as possible, all while appealing to the target demographic.
Davenport Apartments - Somerville, NJ - Highlight Video
Director, Shooter, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) We worked with Weiss Properties to create a highlight video for their newest luxury apartment complex, The Davenport Apartments, in Somerville NJ. We wanted to shoot the complex in the best lighting possible, so we filmed from sunrise to sunset so we could get the best light possible for each spot.
Welcome to Somerville - The Cobalt and The Davenport Apartments
Director, Shooter, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) We teamed up with Weiss Properties to create a neighborhood video of the Somerville area for the launch of their new luxury apartment listings, The Davenport Apartments. We were challenged to make the town seem as lively as possible, which was difficult because of the ongoing pandemic. In order to create this video successfully, we planned the shoot around a local concert, so we knew that it would be a busy day around town. We also worked with a lot of local businesses and restaurants so that we could get them featured in the video. The client was very happy with the video, and they will be referring to us for all their future video needs. https://thedavenportapts.com/neighborhood/
Shellz Easy Glide Soft Sleeve Commercial
Director, DP, Editor: Stephen Ko (@skofilms) We created a commercial for the premium card sleeve protection company, Shellz. The unique challenge here was coming up with ways to shoot a thin, transparent, plastic sleeve and make it look good on camera, all while getting across it's main features and make for an engaging video. There was definitely a lot of experimentation on this one, and I'm proud to say the client was happy with the final video, and it's been successfully increasing traffic to their website and leading to sales.
